Had my weigh in for the end of my first week today. I have had my weight drop to 91 Kilos from 93 and my body fat to 18.5% so thats a loss of 2 kilos and 1.5% body fat.


When i do the calculations my body fat is now 16.8 kilos of fat down from 18.6 a drop of 1.8 kilos so what i am happy about is my weight loss this week is almost entirely made up of Fat. The other .2 of a kilo is most likely water, or a very small loss of muscle mass.


While i am very pleased with these results, this week will not be the norm. The reason ?, well over the Holidays the amount i was eating has been very high, so my body will have got used to a far greater calorie need, cutting down this week to 2,200 cals probably saved me an average of at least 1000 calories a day, add to that my cardio and i have most likely saved myself 2000 per day, which does equate to the fat loss i have had.


Next week my body will be more used to the new calorie intake ( though i hope not ! ). I am currently following Tom Venuto's plan of 6 small meals a day, so i hope that perhaps i can fool my metabolism into thinking its still getting the amount of food it got in December. We shall see if this is the case next Friday.
